Painting with Modern Masters
Students will study and practice from the techniques and styles of renowned artists such as; Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe, Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso and many more. We will explore color theory, color mixing and color psychology. Students will be encouraged to apply their own techniques while imitating the artist or adapting them into their own style. Each week we will work on a new canvas exploring lessons on Still life, Portrait and landscape painting. Students will have an opportunity to work on 3 separate paintings during the 4 week course.
Materials: Paint and one canvas will be provided at the first class. Instructor can give additional resources for materials needed and canvases will also be sold in the studio.
