Join us at Alley Cat Studios with our new Children’s Studio
The Humming Bird’s Nest is a unique place for children to build on creativity in small groups in a low sensory environment, with a variety of materials, from light tables to sewing machines, along with all the basics, paint, clay canvas, and yarn.
The teacher’s goal is to support each child as an individual creator by teaching both skills and process to achieve meaningful outcomes. Guide students through the foundations of the artistic process while encouraging them to discover unique ways to express their ideas, perspectives, and personal voice. Foster skill development, creative problem-solving, risk-taking, and reflection so each child can realize their intentions and grow as an artist.
This space is created by Chanda an Evanston mom and experienced art studio teacher, creating an environment that is built on true creative expressions for children.
